Overview
The Government of Belgium offers several scholarship programmes for students from developing countries through VLIR-UOS (Flemish Interuniversity Council) and Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI). These fund master's programmes at Flemish and Wallonia-Brussels universities, as well as short training courses. Belgium is home to world-class institutions including KU Leuven, Ghent University, Université Libre de Bruxelles, and VUB.
Eligibility Requirements
Citizen of an eligible developing country (specific VLIR-UOS or WBI list); bachelor's degree with strong academic results; professional work experience for some programs; English or French proficiency depending on program; under 40 years of age for most programs; not currently residing in Belgium
Scholarship Benefits
Monthly allowance (€770–€1,170), return airfare, visa and insurance costs covered, tuition fees for ICP programmes, installation allowance, possible family allowance
