Overview

The Friedrich Ebert Foundation (Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, FES) is Germany's oldest political foundation, associated with social democracy. It offers scholarships to academically talented and socially engaged students at German universities, including international students. Eligibility Requirements

Enrolled at a German university (bachelor's, master's, or doctoral level); high academic achievement (Grade 1.5+ in German system); political and social engagement; commitment to social-democratic values; German language proficiency (B2 minimum for most programs)

Scholarship Benefits

Monthly basic stipend of €752 (bachelor's/master's) or €1,200 (doctoral) + €300 study allowance; research cost subsidy; language course funding; rich FES seminar programme and international network access
