Overview

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme is Hungary's flagship government-funded international scholarship initiative, established in 2013. It covers all levels of higher education at Hungarian universities — bachelor's, master's, and doctoral — for students from 80+ partner countries. One of Europe's largest scholarship programmes, it offers full funding in a vibrant Central European academic environment with top universities including University of Debrecen, Budapest University of Technology, and ELTE.

Eligibility Requirements

Citizen of a partner country (80+ including Arab and MENA countries); not holding Hungarian citizenship or permanent residency; strong academic record; English or Hungarian language proficiency depending on program; applications submitted through the home country's sending organization

Scholarship Benefits

Full tuition waiver, monthly stipend (HUF 43,700 bachelor's/master's, HUF 140,000 doctoral), free dormitory accommodation, health insurance (service fee HUF 700/month), one-time relocation allowance
