Overview

UBC's need-and-merit based awards for outstanding international secondary school students who could not otherwise afford a UBC degree. Scholars receive support that meets their demonstrated financial need for up to four years, plus dedicated International Scholars Program advisors for academic, personal, and career development. Applicants require a high school nomination, complete student essays, and may be invited to a video interview.

Eligibility Requirements

International student on a Canadian study permit entering UBC directly from an accredited secondary school for a first undergraduate degree; superior academic achievement (all As or equivalent); demonstrated significant financial need with official documents; meets UBC admission and English language requirements; some degrees excluded (e.g. Nursing, dual/joint degrees)
